Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Must have visual acuity, ability to alphabetize and manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Assist with cleaning patient care toys, materials and equipment.
Support therapeutic activities under the direction of the staff.
Assist with gathering and holding toys for patient to play with during therapy sessions.
Photocopy documents, as needed.
Assemble packets, kits and totes.
Perform special projects, as needed.
Practice Service Excellence.
Absolutely NO artificial nails of any kind are permitted, including:
ORIENTATION AND TRAINING:
Volunteers will complete a general orientation conducted by Volunteer Services, which includes Service Excellence, Infection Control, Safety, Confidentiality, volunteer policies and procedures, and health screening prior to commencing their volunteer assignment.
Complete an annual In-service review.
Cross training in other service areas is encouraged for those who wish to be knowledgeable about the hospital and who might be available to substitute in other areas.
Volunteers receive area specific training.
